The Split And Edit command lets you split a selected sound clip, and then edit it externally, in a single step.

It is otherwise identical to selecting Split Out on the sound clip and then Edit Sound Externally.

A sound clip is a section of recorded or imported audio placed in a story. Sound clips are attached to frames or sections in the Story Tree.
